Gridlock is a collection of grid-based board games for GNUstep, including Ataxx, Reversi, Gomoku, Connect Four, Breakthrough, and Glass Bead. You can play against another person or computer opponents of varying difficulty.


Recent releases

    Release Notes: Six new games were added. This release is built as a universal binary for PowerPC and Intel processors, but the Intel version is completely untested. Display bugs which occurred when user interface scaling is active in Tiger were fixed.

      Release Notes: Works with the latest GNUstep tarball release again.

        Release Notes: This release adds Hexapawn, Quad Wrangle, Cats and Dogs, and Moray Eels games. An alpha-beta search algorithm for computer opponents has been added, greatly improving performance. Harder computer opponents have been added for several games. There is a new icon, miscellaneous interface improvements, and Gravity and Zonesh games. Computer opponents are faster and use multiple processors more effectively. Checkers no longer ends in a tie after 100 moves without capture. Connect Four is now the correct 6x7 size.

          Release Notes: Computer opponents are now much faster and take advantage of multiple processors. Bug fixes were made.

            Release Notes: Network play, new game, and loading and saving were added. Computer player speed was improved.
