gpkg is the command-line GNUpdate package management tool. It provides functionality similar to the rpm, dpkg, and apt-get tools. Since it works with libpackman, it has the ability to install, uninstall, and query multiple types of package formats and package databases.

    Release Notes: Dependency graphs can now be generated from packages in the database. Package diffing now works for versions of diff less than 2.7.2. Alternative required dependencies are displayed. The filename or package name is now displayed before lists of dependencies. Out of memory checking and Czech and Dutch translations were added.

      Release Notes: Required versions are now shown for dependencies. Graphical dependency graph generation has been added. Databases can now be rebuilt. Output has been cleaned up a bit in some areas. Individual files can be extracted from a package. The differences between packages can now be shown in unified diff format. New commands to show what packages own or require the specified files and dependencies were added. The --simple option has been added to --info, to display very basic information on a package. Several bugs have been fixed in the error reporting and argument parsing.

        Release Notes: This release includes several new flags, database creation/importing, progress bars, dependency checking, and internationalization support. gpkg has been translated to French, Norwegian, and Italian. Several bugs, memory leaks, and segfaults were fixed.
