Release Notes: Bugs were fixed and two major features were added: white on black detection and multiple image support.

Release Notes: Bugs were removed concerning the line-detection and wchar handling. A new option for progress output was added. Some latin2-chars (MACRON and DOT_ABOVE) and braces "{}" are recognized now. Small fonts (5x7 and 6x12) and OCR-B font are better recognized. Documentation is converted to HTML format.

Release Notes: The engine and line detection were improved. Output of UTF-8 code is now possible. The EURO currency sign can be recognized now.

Release Notes: Unicode functionality was added. Bugs in the database function were fixed, and its functionality was enhanced. Support for some new characters was added. Output in TeX and HTML-style is now possible.

Release Notes: Character recognition was improved. Better documentation was written. Make install now works properly.

    Release Notes: Redirection of stderr and stdout, support for JPEG, GIF, TIFF, and compressed files using pnm-tools and gzip/bzip2 via popen-function, better internal threshold value calculation and an "only numbers" mode, improvements to the OCR engine, and the TCL/Tk GUI can now edit and save results.

      Release Notes: Some new options have been added (stdin usable), and bugs fixed. It now does better recognition of bad fonts. This is the first version with the Tcl/Tk GUI.
