Release Notes: Port to Microsoft Windows was completed. SWIG is now used instead of g-wrap for providing language bindings. The Scheduled Transaction list view is now improved and summarized more compactly. The Since-Last-Run dialog has been simplified. Check printing has been improved, with new formats and simpler format descriptions. Automatic saving of the data file was added.

Release Notes: GTK2 is now used. The GNOME Human Interface Guidelines are followed. OFX DirectConnect can directly retrieve and import account statements over the Internet. A "Hide account" feature was added to keep a better overview of your current accounts. The ability to create budgets within GnuCash using your account data was added. MT940 files can be imported. The data file format has been improved with respect to international characters. Support for Accounting Periods was added. The GnuCash Help and Guide are now fully integrated with the GNOME Help system.
