Release Notes: This release features major enhancements: merge and split subtitle lines, view character counts, apply a reaction delay, play the video in slow/fast motion, and quickly adjust timings with new shortcuts. The FAB subtitle format is now supported, and the video automatically seeks on timings change. Bugfixes and other features are also included.


Release Notes: This release brings support for spell checking as well as the following subtitle formats: AQ Title, MacSUB, Sofni, SubCreator 1.x, and ViPlay Subtitle File. Video previewing now allows you to show the translation with the video, along with the original subtitles. A crash that happened when closing the Encoding Selection dialog has been fixed. The auto-detection of subtitle formats has been improved.


Release Notes: This release features a transition to GStreamer for video playback, replacing MPlayer. It also features support for the following subtitle formats: Adobe Encore DVD, DKS Subtitle Format, Karaoke Lyrics LRC, Karaoke Lyrics VKT, Panimator, Phoenix Japanimation Society, and Power DivX. Video-related keyboard shortcuts were added. Ogg video files are now shown in the File and Video Open dialogs, and different subtitle formats now share similar headers, when edited.


Release Notes: This release brings the long-awaited support for subtitle translation. The cursor position and editing mode (INS or OVR) are now shown in the status bar. While editing text, Undo/Redo was improved, and is now based on words. When opening a file, the remaining character codings are tried when the first one fails. A different way of detecting the system data directory, which works on FreeBSD, is now used. Multiple menu underlines and accelerators have been fixed, and an updated version of the character coding auto-detection library is now used.


Release Notes: This release features initial support for i18n and a new user manual. The SaveAs dialog now has an option that allows you to select the type of newline to be used when saving. A crash that happened when loading a video with no subtitles open has been fixed. An error dialog is now shown when errors occur while running the application with a subtitle file as an argument, as well as when saving a file. This release fixes the Time and Frames labels regarding the current video position, the transparency of the images in the SetSubtitleStart and SetSubtitleEnd buttons, and some menu items.


Release Notes: This release includes an improved Timings Shift dialog, which makes use of the video position and has new selection options as well as a Clear button. A new File Properties dialog was added. A video file is automatically opened when running Gnome Subtitles with a subtitle as an argument. The character coding is automatically selected in the File SaveAs dialog. A Video tag is now added to the frame rate that corresponds to the video in the menu. Blank text files can now be opened. A man page has been added. Bug Buddy is now used to report bugs. Bugs related to changing the timing mode have been fixed.


Release Notes: This release features a Character Codings dialog that allows you to select encodings to be used in file open/save. A Preferences dialog was also added, allowing you to set whether video files are automatically chosen when selecting/opening subtitle files. Video times, rewind, and forward now work correctly on locales that use a comma as a decimal separator (e.g., French and Polish). A shadow that appeared around the video image was removed. The window size is now remembered on exit. An adequate error message is printed when an encoding cannot be used on File Open. Support for FreeBSD was improved.


Release Notes: This release features the introduction of a new built-in video previewer using MPlayer as the backend. This provides for quick playback and allows you to set subtitle timings based on the video position. Opening a subtitle file automatically selects the video that matches it. Filters were added to the file and video opening dialogs. A major refactoring was accomplished, resulting in more manageable code. A crash that occurred in locales using a comma as decimal separator was fixed.


Release Notes: This release features a new find/replace dialog that includes searching with regular expressions. The artwork was totally renewed. New keyboard shortcuts were set for the most frequently used features. The program now works with the latest versions of mono and gtk-sharp. The timing mode of the subtitles is updated when "Saving as" to a different format. Ctrl+Up/Down now scrolls, in addition to selecting the previous/next subtitle. The About dialog now works as expected.


Release Notes: This release brings the addition of the following subtitle formats: SubViewer 1.0, SubViewer 2.0, MPlayer, MPlayer 2, MPSub, Sub Station Alpha, and Advanced Sub Station Alpha. It includes a dialog to edit subtitle headers, and another dialog to auto-adjust timings based on two correct times/synchronization points. A crash that happened when using the latest Mono version (1.1.17.1) was fixed. The default Gnome's toolbar style is now used. Last but not least, the build procedure was changed and now bundles SubLib with GnomeSubtitles.
