Gnapster (Linux)
* move in queue (only allows 1 file to be added) drag.
overall great program.

/src/callbacks.c
-----------
speed up re-connect time

if (!safe_exit(ci))
ci->reconnect_timeout = TIMEOUT_ADD(100, reconnect_cb, stab);

/src/napster.c
----------
speed up retry (download queue)

if (!user_info.conf[AUTOCANCEL]) {
TIMEOUT_REMOVE(real->start_timeout);
real->timeout_tag = TIMEOUT_ADD(700,remote_queue_
check, real);
}

Of course there are plenty of OpenNap servers that you can use with non-Windows clients...

oops .. no more napster for linux users

I have downloaded many napster programs such as this one .. and lately I have noticed that none of them are working because of the upgrade (for windows and mac only) at www.napster.com .. I am just wandering what is going to happen with all the linux clients for napster??

Big improvements in 1.5.0!
Gnapster is now *really* useful!
Support for multiple servers and searching for servers that are up. These two alone makes for a big improvement! And there's much more new here...

(+ the program looks very very good to :)

Keep up the good work!

Lopster vs. Gnapster

1.4.2 won't compile on RH6.2 with latest Helix Gnome. There is no RPM for 1.4.2. Soooooo... I checked out Lopster and it kicks butt!

It has way more features, lets you download any mime-type when connected to OpenNap and lets you associate applications to said mime-types.

Lopster is based on GTK - check it out.
