Release Notes: This release adds Growl support to Rule Actions, a clear-buffer feature to StreamMonitor, per-socket buffer limits to StreamMonitor, and the application name to the logging system. It fixes a deadlock issue between glowwormd and the kext, a rule save issue, and several kernel panic issues.
Release Notes: Support for the StreamMonitor plugin and Packets modules was added. A couple of minor issues in the kext were fixed, though none were likely to have caused panics. An issue in the registration system was fixed. Registration validation errors now print debug info to the console. An issue where when updating a rule a zero-update stat message would erroneously be sent to the stat handlers was fixed. Several minor issues with the authorization alert window were fixed.
Release Notes: Menubar.app now properly honors the "hide menubar icon" preference. Support for explicit process authorization was added for unprivileged processes wishing to use rules. An issue where waitpid() was being used on the wrong PID in GlowWorm::runAsRoot was fixed. An issue was fixed where the "demo expired" dialog would appear every minute after the demo expiration instead of just once.
Release Notes: The GlowWorm Statistics module was added for gathering and reporting transfer statistics. The DataMonitor plugin was added for visualizing information from GlowWorm Statistics. An open-source project for DataMonitor was added. DNS packet parsing efficiency was improved. An Auto Answer issue where the "remember" settings for appl, addr, and port were not being properly set was fixed. Several issues in the kext that might cause kernel panics were fixed.
Release Notes: The registration code requirement has been removed for Lite users. An issue where the state of the Remember switches was causing internal inconsistencies has been fixed. An issue has been fixed where the Connection table was not receiving edits if one did not tab out of the field. Several redraw issues in Menubar.app have been fixed. Handling of incoming connections has been improved. Several issues in the kext that could cause kernel panics have been fixed.
Release Notes: This release adds support for showing the relevant host names for authorization alerts instead of relying on reverse DNS. An issue has been fixed where the focus was not being given to the Menubar.app Preferences window. The focus is restored to the application that had the focus prior to the Authorization Alert window being displayed. An Application Monitor plugin crash on a certain makeKeyAndOrderFront call has been fixed. Several significant issues in the kernel extension that seemed to only affect PPC have been fixed.
Release Notes: Support was added for re-ordering, re-sizing, and hiding existing columns and adding additional columns in Rule Editor. Support for saving and restoring all Rule Editor window and column settings was added. Support was added for Magic [Black|White] Lists, which appends additional criteria to the rule corresponding to the magic list based on decisions you make for an Ask rule. An issue in GlowWorm.app plugin preferences where the Load/Enable buttons were not always updated correctly was fixed.
Release Notes: Error handling throughout Menubar.app was improved. A semaphore naming issue which prevented multiple instances of GlowWorm.app and Menubar.app from running simultaneously was fixed. A slow-startup/deadlock issue related to retrieving NetInfo user/group lists was fixed. Support was added for retrieving user/group lists via the kernel extension. An issue where Menubar.app was assuming non-Lite when installing its event notification handler was fixed.
Release Notes: An issue in Installer.app that caused upgrades to fail silently was fixed. The Process tab was renamed to "User & Group" in Rule Editor. The preference pane in Menubar.app was cleaned up. Partial back-end support for process chains was added. GUI support for process chains was added in the Application tab of Rule Editor. A potential redraw problem in the Rule Editor was fixed by forcing thread synchronization.
Release Notes: Support was added for specifying forever/quit/reboot when enabling auto-answer for authorization alerts. Support for automatically remembering the position and size of the Rule Editor and Application Monitor windows was added. An issue where the GUI did not properly notify the user if the registration code installation failed was fixed. An issue where enable/disable in GlowWorm.app did not work reliably was fixed. An issue where registration code changes were not written to disk promptly was fixed.
