Release Notes: On Mac OS X and Windows systems, the default locale can now be determined. A new field 'Language' in the header entry of PO files was added, with command line support in several tools. xgettext now can extract plural forms from Qt 4 programs. Plural forms now support ranges for numeric arguments. Support for colorized PO files was improved. Several optimizations and further enhancements were made. Portability was improved.
Release Notes: The programs are now under the GPLv3; the libintl library stays under the LGPLv2. The msgcat program can now output PO files in a colorized way. The coloring is customizable. Support for KDE4 format strings has been added.
