Geolizer

Geolizer is a patch for Webalizer that uses the GeoIP library to generate faster and more reliable geographic statistics than the default DNS suffix method. It is recommended that DNS reversal be disabled on your HTTP server for improved performance and more accurate statistics. It also supports country flag pictures, can be compiled under MinGW/MSYS, and features a human-readable transfer size display.

Release Notes: Country flag picture support was added, but needs the flags package from http://flags.blogpotato.de/. Country names were updated from the GeoIP source. Localization of country names was improved. Code cleanups were done. The "--enable-geoip" option is now default, as is "--enable-flags". The Win32 version now seeks the webalizer.conf file in the executable directory. Static binaries are now bound with the GeoIP 1.4.1 library and "GEO-106FREE 20070101 Build 1" database.

Release Notes: Several fixes were made to hr_size(). Segmentation faults no longer occur when the program is compiled with both '--enable-dns' and '--enable-geoip' options. Bigger referrer and user agent fields were provided and a small typo in '--help' was fixed.

Release Notes: A human readable sizes patch was merged and byte-precision was implemented. The documentation was updated and extensive test results were included. The webalizer.1 man page was also updated. Webalizer now indicates which config files it is using. More tips and tricks were suggested in the INSTALL file, and a better Win32 package was made with correct text line endings and an HTML man page.

Release Notes: GeoIP database information is now shown on top of generated pages, and a link to the official Geolizer site is shown at the bottom. "Total Sites" and everything related now shows the "Country" column. Static binaries are now bound with the GeoIP 1.3.1 library and "GEO-106FREE 20031105 Build 1" database.

Release Notes: The GeoIP API has changed since version 1.0.10. Unresolved countries are handled now by NULL instead of "--". The older API is still supported for compatibility with the Win32 version of GeoIP.

Problem with creating Geolizer ion Debian Sarge boxes
Looks to be exactly what we need but if I apply the patch (well if I modify the patch enough to appear to apply cleanly) Webalizer runs most of the way before ending with a segmentation fault and doesn't produce any Geographical look ups, has anyone managed to make a sarge package?
