Gentoo For Zaurus is a port of the Gentoo Distribution to the Zaurus PDA. It can be mounted over NFS so no changes to a current configuration are needed. It includes a native gcc environment for ARM, the zgcc-3.3.1 cross compiler for the main PC with distcc configured so that the main PC does the actual compiling, and X11 for testing applications.

Release Notes: Kernel sources were added, which will allow some more base packages to be emerged. The base layout has been reordered to be more like standard gentoo. tbz2ipk.nodev was added, which removes the development libraries from the resulting ipk, making it smaller.
Release Notes: More "real" packages instead of the busybox ones. bison, procps, patch, bash, grep, and coreutils have been merged into the main system. The system should compile more packages without errors or warnings.
Release Notes: This release merges many new development packages, adds the "games" group so games can be built, creates /usr/games, includes the script to transform gentoo (tbz2) packages to ipkg (ipk) packages ("tbz2ipk package.tbz2"), and modifies the script ipkg-build.sh to be able to generate ipks from inside a Zaurus (this script is used by tbz2ipk.sh).
