gcjwebpugin is a plugin to execute Java applets in Mozilla and compatible browsers. It uses the JVM provided by GCJ. An appletviewer-like utility is also provided.

Release Notes: This release now starts the appletviewer process only when it is actually needed, i.e. when it has to show an applet inside the Web browser. Some other minor fixes were also done.

    Release Notes: This version is a great improvement over previous versions, as the build and runtime dependencies are much smaller. Mozilla is no longer needed to build and run it, and you can now use any Java compiler to build the Java source files. You are not limited to GCJ CVS anymore.

    Release Notes: The user visible messages have been fully localized with a complete German translation. A jar file is created to use a standalone applet viewer with JVMs other than GCJ. More translators are needed.

    Release Notes: Much code was rewritten. The first simple implementations of a SecurityManager and a specialized ClassLoader were added.
