gAnim8

gAnim8 is a suite of tools for building and manipulating animated GIFs and small videos in a GTK/GNOME environment. It allows animated GIFs and videos (MPG, AVI/ASF, WMV, SWF, RM, MOV, or M4V) to be easily created, edited, previewed, recorded, or saved into screenshots.

    Release Notes: This release includes drag-and-drop support, better integration with gAnim8, a code cleanup, an improved user interface, and internationalization. Support for Spanish has been implemented.

      Release Notes: This version includes support for 8 video formats (MPG, AVI, ASF, WMV, MOV, RM, SWF, and M4V), video recording from Video4Linux devices, a new screenshot utility (GtkSnapshot), bugfixes, printing capabilities, and internationalization support. A Spanish translation was included. This release also features faster opening and manipulation of animated GIFs.

          Release Notes: This version includes support for opening, previewing, and editing small MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 videos, saving animations as MPEG-1 videos (in addition to animated gifs), and reading and opening over 110 image formats. Frames in animation sequences are now moveable, there is a new, detachable frame for easier viewing of large images, and a smoother GUI interface with less wasted space. A 'Grey Scale' tweak was added for images in the animation sequence.
