Release Notes: This release fixes a couple of memory leaks in libganglia (that didn't effect gmond) and makes gmond much more stable under heavy stress conditions.
Release Notes: A new Ganglia Cluster Status (gstat) commandline tool, an alpha release of libganglia (C/C++ API), much more rich documentation, new "deaf" and "mute" options to gmond, increasing the speed at which gmond processes multicast traffic, a patch for a FreeBSD bug, and updating the RPM for non-root builds.
Release Notes: This release adds a CLUSTER element to the gmond XML, fixes the gmond "trusted_host" option which wasn't being processed, fixes a bug where connections from untrusted hosts would segfault gmond, changes the way transient name service errors are handled to be more robust, merges the gmond and gmetric RPMs into a single RPM, adds complete support for FreeBSD (all metrics are monitored now), and adds long option support in gmetric.
Release Notes: Addition of the getopt source to the ganglia library for systems (Solaris/FreeBSD) which don't have it installed by default, and testing on Solaris 8, FreeBSD 4.5, and Alpha/Linux.
Release Notes: A complete rewrite to the underlying hash library, updated code to catch when transient nameservice errors occur and retry, a patch to correctly report the number of CPUs and their speed on Alpha architectures, a patch for gmetric which allows users to chose which network interface gmetric multicasts, and changing the self-organzing behavior of gmond to recognize when a transient error occured on a remote gmond process.
Release Notes: A fix for a bug in ganglia-rdd.pl where stale hosts were not being removed from the in-memory hash (to match the XML data), changing the Y-Axis on the hosts in the cluster overview to have the same range (min/max) in order to make better host comparisons, changing the list of hosts that are down to a drop-down box (previously, when a large number of machines went down the top right corner table cell would swell), and sorting the host list in order from the most recent crash to the oldest.
Release Notes: This minor bugfix only applies to cluster nodes which use AMD processors. Previously, gmond reported double the number of real processors on the system.
Release Notes: Increased speed of the host security check for the XML port, new commandline options for almost all compile-time gmond options, a new --safe_host option to allow a host outside of the multicast channel to connect , stripping all quotes (") from gmetric data to keep XML well-formed, and improved self-organizing behavior of the gmonds.
Release Notes: A major security bug was fixed. This bug allowed remote users to execute arbitrary commands as user "nobody". Only the graph.php file in the Ganglia PHP/RRD Web client has this vulnerability. Please download the update as soon as possible.
