Comments for Gammu
I was reading the examples of intergammu
and I have some doubts before practice
excuse me by my spelling errors i know speak spanish, little english
maybe we could discuss an interesting topic....
when I'm using Daemon gammu.
this syntax could be:
gammu-smsd -c smsdrc
I can't get to use the command to send sms gammu because this modem port is occupied by the daemon jaja...
eg when using these commands:
gammu --identify or send sms eg: echo “hello test” | gammu sendsms TEXT number
I get this error:Error opening device. Unknown, busy or no permissions.
This means, i can receive sms but can not send.
The obvious question would be mine. How to use two command at a time?
how to send and receive sms linked at mysql whithout daemon perhaps?
¿Can I send and receive sms without a database attached to a deamon??

I use internet with mobidata edge modem. I can use it in windows xp system. But I can't use it in fedora 2 or fedora 8 system. Would You please tell me how i can use it in fedora/linux system.

i'm using siemen C50. in gammu urc i'am writing :

when i type 'gammu --identify' the result is :

but when i type

i also try on another computer and getting the same result. any one help me?? please.. thx be 4

There is no known for me DKU5 driver for Linux. You can use this cable with Gammu in win32 only now.

Sir, My mobile phone is Nokia 6020.I have tried to communicate my phone with my pc using xgnokii, gnokii and gammu in fedora system. But failed. I can communicate my phone with my pc and can use it as modem using Nokia pc suite in windows. I use Dku-5 data cable to connect my mobile with pc. I have applied all possible command in gnokii. please tell me how I can connect my mobile with pc using gammu, xgonkii and gnokii.

i'm already download and setup gammu for windows.
and put gammurc and smsdrc to my document.
it work when send sms.
but i cannot receive sms from phone.
when i type in msdos mode of windows XP :
"gammu --smsd mysql smsdrc"
an error message show:

but i'm already check with this command :
"net start mysql"
and the respons of winXP msdos is :
"The requested service has already been started"
then i'm confused ....

Hi having just downloaded Wammu and tried to run it i get the following failure
