Galeon is a GNOME Web browser based on Gecko (the Mozilla rendering engine). It is fast, has a light interface, and is fully standards-compliant.

Release Notes: This release works with Mozilla 1.7.5+, Seamonkey 1.0+, Firefox 1.0.x and 1.5+, and xulrunner 1.8+ and trunk builds as of 16/09/06. Compatibility problems and other bugs were fixed.

A Security Device Manager button was added in the security preferences. The delete key works in the Personal Data Manager. Support was added for multimedia keyboard keys like Back and Forward. Other bugs were fixed.

It has a couple more focus fixes to less common cases, fixes regression since 1.3.19 that prevented helpers from working with file:/// URLs, and fixes the toolbar editor to work when the composite extension is enabled.
