FOX Desktop is a lightweight desktop environment based on the FOX Toolkit. It includes various tools and programs to make life easier. It includes a desktop and taskbar.

Release Notes: The taskbar has been replaced with a more general dockbar which can be docked on all sides of the screen. Furthermore, each dockbar may contain different kinds of applets which can be added or removed on the fly. This release contains a few builtin applets and one launcher applet which can be used to launch applications.

Release Notes: A tooltip that shows the date was added to the clock. Extra whitespace was removed from titles. The "stick" command is now hidden (instead of being disabled) if it is not available. A small typo in FXTaskButton was fixed. Icon loading from WMHINTS was implemented (sort of). A bug in getting window title was fixed. A logout icon was added. Job control (child processes) was improved. MouseWheel desktop switching was added. More applications were added to fxmenusetup. The desktop switcher is updated whenever the number of desktops changes. The latest FOX snapshot is required.
Release Notes: This release added blinking buttons for windows that require attention. Text in taskbar buttons is now properly cut off. Background image tiling was added. The preferences dialog now has an apply button. Various bugfixes were made.
Release Notes: fxdesktop will start the window manager itself. Task buttons can now be used to activate windows.
