Release Notes: Updated packages: Linux kernel 2.6.39.3, XOrg server 1.10.3, GNOME 3, KDE SC 4.6.5, XFCE 4., LibreOffice 3.4.2, and Mozilla Firefox 5.0.1 to name a few major components. A new version of Pacman-g2 bringing some nice features. systemd is now the default init system. Initial ARM port. The boot splash is now provided by plymouth. i686 and x86_64 kernels can now boot from EFI. In addition to EFI support, GPT partition tables are now enabled. gptfdisk is the recommended partitioner for this. The setuptools Python package is now replaced by distribute.


Release Notes: The most important changes since 1.3 release are the updating of the Linux kernel to 2.6.37, Xorg server to 1.9, GNOME to 2.32, KDE SC to 4.5, LibreOffice to 3.3, Drupal to 7, and Python to 2.7.


Release Notes: Ypdated packages: Linux kernel 2.6.35, X.Org server 1.8, GNOME 2.30, KDE 4.4.5, and more. An official graphical 'netinstall' image is included. No workaround is needed to install this release in VMware. The monolithic configuration of X.Org is now split up in the xorg.conf.d directory.


Release Notes: No new features have been added since the last release candidate, but 62 changes have been made to fix minor bugs. This version includes Linux kernel 2.6.32.8, GNU C library 2.11.1, X.Org 7.5, GNOME 2.28, and KDE 4.3.5.


Release Notes: No new features have been added since 1.1rc2, but 177 changes have been made to fix minor bugs. Updates include Linux kernel 2.6.30.5, glibc 2.10.1, X.Org 7.4 with X.Org Server 1.6, GNOME 2.26.3, Xfce 4.6.1, and GCC 4.4.0. There is a major review of the documentation. A 64-bit Flash plugin is now part of the default installation. There is a major update of the graphical installer (fwife).


Release Notes: This release has a new PPC port. It has support for having a 32-bit chroot on x86_64. gService, a new graphical tool for enabling and disabling services, has been added. There is a Java plugin on x86_64. There is support for the ext4 file system.


Release Notes: No new features have been added since 0.9rc2, but about 40 changes have been made to fix minor bugs. The base system has been updated: Linux kernel 2.6.26, glibc 2.8, and GCC 4.3.1. Updated desktop packages include GNOME 2.22, OpenOffice.org 2.4.1, and Firefox 3.0.1. There is improved support for machines with multiple network cards, and the USB installer is now easier to start. FUN (update notifier) now supports news notifications.


Release Notes: More than 300 changes have been made to fix minor bugs. This release features an up-to-date base system with Linux kernel 2.6.24.3, glibc 2.7, and GCC 4.2.3 and up-to-date desktop packages: KDE 3.5.9, GNOME 2.20, Xfce 4.4.2, OpenOffice.org 2.4rc2 (ooo-build 2.4.0), and Firefox 2.0.0.12. Also added were WPA support, support for the Czech language, and a new graphical tool, Frugalware Update Notifier.


Release Notes: Linux kernel 2.6.22.9, Glibc 2.6.1, GCC 4.2.1, KDE 3.5.7, GNOME 2.20, XFCE 4.4.1, OpenOffice 2.3.0, and Firefox 2.0.0.7 were included. A live CD called FwLive is now available. The installation is now logged. Romanian, Swedish, Italian, and Danish are now supported. New graphical tools were included: Gfpm (package manager) and Gnetconfig (network configurator). The Frugalware User Manual is now over 100 pages in length.


Release Notes: This release has glibc 2.5, binutils 2.17.50.0.6, Python 2.5, KDE 3.5.6, Xfce 4.4, Beryl 0.2.0, OpenOffice.org 2.1, Firefox 2.0.0.2, and GNOME 2.18. All installed-by-default packages using Java are now built using gcj/ecj. In setup, there are speed improvements and support for more custom actions. TFTP installs and USB sticks are now supported. There is full support for Xgl/Beryl in KDE.
