freshupdate
freshupdate is a shell script that, when used with xtail or equivalent, will send the freshmeat.net headlines to your root window. It is meant to be run hourly via cron.

Release Notes: Various cleanups were made. Some unnecessary comments were removed. A variable was added for choosing between xtail, roottail, etc. A scripting error was corrected. The process of killing of the previous xtail was cleaned up.
