freescope is a programmer tool that provides source code browsing for various operating systems. It is a clone of the cscope program but has its own unique features, such as symbol completion and easy result browsing.

    Release Notes: Support for reading configuration file (.freescoperc) added. Key mapping user configuration added. Open file now with "VIEWER" variable if specified, rather than "EDITOR". Added escape key for entering characters with special meanings, and "//" is now considered as a one line comment by the C parser.

      Release Notes: This release has been ported to Windows as well as some other platforms including Windows, Alpha, and PPC. Additionally, a few compilation problems have been resolved.

        Release Notes: This release now allows integration with Vim without recompiling Vim, new queries "Functions calling this function" and "Change text", and various bugfixes.

          Release Notes: More memory efficient database structure and faster search, smaller database file, fixes for a bug in recursive scanning of system header files and a bug for window resize handling with curses, various parser improvments, a fix for the BACKSPACE key problem, faster completion of "Find text" and "Find regex" queries, "Find file" query accepts regular expressions, trying to open "cscope.files" if "freescope.files" is not found, fixes for crash problem when specifying a directory in freescope.files and a crash when handling interrupt signal (CTRL-C), and a new "q" command in select mode which causes freescope to exit.
