Release Notes: Fixes were made for unauthorized access to the session database, problems with file sharing over the Internet, and failure to resume the session for Windows clients in non-fullscreen mode. Support for new features of the upcoming NoMachine NX 1.5.0 release was added. For instance, rootless nxagent adds roundtrip suppression to single application window sessions, resulting in major speed gains. Seamless resizing is done with mouse-dragging of window borders. A keyboard shortcut (ctrl+alt+f) was added to toggle from fullscreen to windowed mode and back. Applications keep running (instead of being sent to sleep) while NX session is suspended.
Release Notes: This release adds printing to locally attached printer (via Samba and userspace cupsd binding to non-standard port), file sharing from local NX client to remote NX session (via smbmount/smbmnt), audio tunneling from remote NX session to local speakers (via artsd/esd), better user support (via fully cleaned up and documented node.conf.sample file), and a forward to commercial NoMachine NX server via destination port. It introduces 7 different levels of logging. Session encryption can now be forced by the server. DEFAULT_X_WM is now supported, and can start window manager of choice. It also fixes a number of bugs.
Release Notes: User-specific configuration files now override the system-wide configuration. FreeNX and NoMachine NX may now be installed on one system without conflict. Connections to the commercial NoMachine NX server from FreeNX can be forwarded. A generic connection forwarding mechanism was added for "chaining" nxservers. Floating window mode was added for "rootless" nxagent. A floating window may also be used for direct nxproxy:nxproxy connections. Security was increased by prohibiting port and X11 forwarding in ssh-key and by limiting the permissions to the "nxserver" command.
