FreeImage

FreeImage is an Open Source library project for developers who would like to support popular graphics image formats in their software. The libraries are available in both binary and source distributions. FreeImage supports BMP, CUT, ICO, IFF, JBIG, JNG, JPEG, JFIF, KOALA, LBM, PCD, PBM, PGM, PNG, PPM, PSD, RAS, TARGA, TIFF, and WBMP.

    Release Notes: This release brings two new plugins for SGI and raw FAX G3 formats, better support for HDR images in the rescale function, a new thumbnail generation function, and several internal code enhancements. The library has been updated with the new libtiff (3.8.2) and libpng (1.2.12) libraries. This release is distributed with improved wrappers (VB6/VBA, C++, and Delphi). Many bugs reported by users have been fixed, and the PDF documentation has been updated.
