The editor can now load and save UTF-8 texts. The search function now includes a replace function. Currently unavailable menu items are now disabled in the GUI, and the list of the available graphical styles are dynamically listed in the menu. Release Notes: Freddy now has a "Preferences" window which makes it possible to reconfigure it at runtime. Support for X11's "selection clipboard" was added. Freddy now marks the modified buffers' name with an "*". Any nonexistent files specified on the command line can are now created. The module interface was rewritten. It is now possible to use modules under Windows. Some modules now have some interesting new features, such as the "status ball" of the console module. Many improvements were also made, and many serious bugs were fixed.

The tab bar's tabs have little pixmaps which are draggable, allowing you to easily change their order. A configuration window and i18n support were added.
