FPSE clone is a Microsoft Frontpage Server Extensions clone. FPSE is should work with nearly any web server, because it is a regular CGI written in perl. It is also more secure than its Microsoft counterpart, because it does not require SUID priviledges.

Problem
Has anyone gotten this to work on a Redhat 6.2 with Apache 1.3.12 ? I go through the all-text documentation and set it up. But when anyone tries to log on through Frontpage 2000, they get this error message...
HTTP 404 File not found
File not found404: File not found / /_vti_bin/shtml.exe/_vti_rpc doesn't exist

It looks as though the servername is not getting passed to the cgi script? Anyone else having success?
