fnkdat is a C header and source file that may be statically linked to a binary. It provides a platform independent interface for determining common directory names (e.g. "user directory", "config directory", etc...). It's particularly well suited for games, but by no means limited to that use.

Release Notes: A patch that fixes a compiler warning was applied.
Release Notes: Fnkdat is now released under a GPL/GUILE style license and is thus no longer shipped and linked as a library. It is intended to be statically linked to applications. The interface has been changed, replacing the multi-function, expat/SDL style prototype interface with a single function named 'fnkdat'. Man page style documentation is now available as a man page and in HTML, PostScript, PDF, and plain text.
