FileExtender

FileExtender is a Perl script to evaluate embedded SQL statements in any kind of text file (including HTML files) and extend these files with results from database queries. It is ideal for generating reports based on database content.

Release Notes: The major features of the first public release are support for a database independent interface to Perl (DBI), processing of nested instruction blocks, including and processing of external files, and generation of external files with database query results. It also supports substitution of variable content using regular expressions, conditional blocks, and is running on Unix and Windows platforms.
