Release Notes: Support was added for AVX instructions, MPI distributed-memory parallelism, Fortran 2003 interface, quadruple precision (gcc 4.6 or later), and several minor enhancements.

Release Notes: Support for the Cell processor was added along with a 64-bit API, experimental MPI support, and support for MIPS paired-single SIMD instructions. r2c transforms and multi-threading were accelerated. A return value bug in the Fortran interface for dfftw_init_threads was fixed. G77 wrappers are now optional if gfortran is detected.

Release Notes: Platform bugfixes and cleanups were made for Windows, Mac OS, FreeBSD, AIX, Solaris, and HP-UX. Processor bugfixes and cleanups were made for the Itanium, Alpha, x86-64, and Altivec. There were also compilation fixes and cleanups for C99, Visual C++, PCG, djgpp, and icc. The code is now 64-bit clean. Numerous speedups were achieved and documentation improvements were made.

Release Notes: This is the official non-beta release of 3.0. Major improvements were made in speed and flexibility over 2.x.

Release Notes: This release is significantly faster and more flexible. It also has SIMD support, discrete cosine/sine transforms, a new API, and many other enhancements.
