fdr

Fdr is a file descriptor redirector; a utility that executes a specified command with various file descriptor redirections in place. The bash shell provides very flexible redirection facilities for command pipelines. In certain cases, however, this redirection is inapplicable without invoking a subshell (for example, separating the two stderr's from 'time cmd'). Fdr is a lightweight alternative to using a full bash interpreter for these cases.
