fastdep is a preprocessor which generates dependency information suitable for Makefile inclusion from C or C++ source files. Meant to run on slower hardware, it is several orders of magnitude faster than gcc.

    Release Notes: This release adds boolean operators and GCC-like command line parameters. It makes fastdep more portable on NetBSD, the MS VC++ series, and MingW GCC. It can be compiled with a Jamfile and a makefile for MS VC 6. The documentation now includes a man page.

      Release Notes: A new ability to specify output directory for target objects, bugfixes in the parser, and improved portability for platforms without GNU libc.

        Release Notes: fastdep is now fast(er) on NFS-mounted source trees. The documentation has been much improved. Build hints and fixes for FreeBSD have been added.

            Release Notes: This version emulates the gcc -D switch to predefine symbols, follows global includes, and includes a small bugfix.
