Release Notes: This release includes fixes for building with CONFIG_JBD=n, fixes and speed-ups to log_do_checkpoint, additional benefits for journalled data mode, and commenting out of the unused journal_release-buffer().
Release Notes: This version works with Linux 2.4.6.
Release Notes: Minor bugfixes were made. This version is ready for 2.4.6-pre5/2.4.5-ac17.
Release Notes: The major change in this release is a missing byte-endian conversion in the recovery code. This problem affects both the ext3 kernel recovery and the recovery code in e2fsck. Please upgrade to e2fsprogs-1.21-WIP-0601.tar.gz or later. You can find this on ftp://download.sourceforge.net/pub/sourceforge/e2fsprogs.
Release Notes: Orphan list handling was fixed.
Release Notes: Barrier support has been added, making it possible to suspend all journal activity on a filesystem temporarily, which forces the journal into a clean state. Support for forcing data-journaling on a per-inode basis has been added, and enabled on the quota files. O_SYNC has been fixed for the writeback data journaling mode. In ext3_orphan_del, the superblock is now locked down before testing the orphan list to make the entire operation atomic. When rename overwrites and deletes a file, ext3 now ensures that that file gets put on the orphan list. The initialisation of a new journal has been fixed, ensuring that the journal superblock is pre-zeroed along with the rest of the journal. ext3 will no longer mount or remount a journal with unrecognised features.
