Release Notes: This release fixes some bugs introduced in 4.03, including the getipnodebyaddr()-glitch. If you are running 4.03 without problems, there is no rush to upgrade.
Release Notes: This release is mainly for bugfixes and cleanups. The few new features include the ability to control what happens after timeouts in a dnslist lookup, the "local_scan_timeout" global option, the "-tls-on-connect" command line option, pwcheck suppport. The addition of headers is now ensured. TLS was changed to send a whole chain of certificates to the client. Beware that this release probably won't work on Linux Glibc2 systems unless you set HAVE_GETIPNODEBYADDR to 0; see the discussion on the exim-users mailing-list for details about this.
Release Notes: A bug has been fixed in string expansion. NULLs in a message body are turned into spaces for message_body[_end]. If a message with the -N flag was on the spool, and was selected during a queue run by -R or -S, the -N flag was incorrectly passed on to all subsequent messages, leading to their being thrown away. The -H files for Exim 4 have changed again with regard to the data for one_time addresses; Exim 3 is now capable of coping with the new format.
Release Notes: Bugfixes were added, as were a small number of features. helo_allow_chars can now be set if you want to allow rogue characters such as underscore in HELO/EHLO names.
Release Notes: Bugs with SMTP rewriting, convert4r4, "domainlist", "hostlist" and "addresslist" not being recognized if the immediately following character was a tab rather than a space, etc. were fixed. The rules for writing daemon PID files have changed. SMTP sender verification now gives details about the error before the 550 error for the first RCPT command by default.
