exiftags

exiftags parses a JPEG file looking for Exif (Exchangeable Image File) data, formatting, and printing image properties. Digital cameras typically add Exif data to the image files they produce containing information about the camera and digitized image. exiftags includes support for some camera manufacturer-specific properties.

Release Notes: A couple of security issues related to data offset overflows and infinite loops possible with malformed Exif data were fixed. This resolves CVE-2007-6354, CVE-2007-6355, and CVE-2007-6356. If you use exiftags code in a Web-facing or otherwise public application, an upgrade is recommended. Also, Canon EOS-5D custom function support, support for custom timestamp preferences in exiftime listings, and support for HP-UX were added.

Release Notes: Significantly improved support for Nikon cameras and new support for Sigma maker notes. Various bugfixes and tweaks were made for Canon, Panasonic, and Minolta cameras.

Release Notes: This release adds support for a number of camera actuations provided by certain Canon cameras, and fixes a Makefile oversight for the exiftime utility install.

Release Notes: This release includes a new utility, exiftime, for displaying and adjusting date and time tags. Support for Asahi/Pentax, Leica, and Panasonic tags has been added and several minor bugs have been fixed. Updated to the draft Exif 2.21 specification.

Release Notes: This release now recognizes GPS tags and adds support for Sanyo cameras. Support for Canons and Nikons was improved. A number of bug fixes were made.
