Release Notes: High-quality and high-speed barcode recognition was added. A new, generic, and better optimizing image iterator was implemented, resulting in higher performance of ported algorithms. Support was added for writing non-RGB BMP files, as well as writing EPS, PS, PDF, and reading (rendering) SVG files. Language bindings are now also available for PHP, Python, and Lua. Compilation with GCC 4.3 was fixed.
Release Notes: A fast image convolution method was added for certain matrix operations, as well as an accelerated Gaussian blur operation based on the new base code. Other 8 bits-per-channel matrix convolutions were accelerated as well. The black and white thresholding was changed to use the new code and optionally avoid stray pixels. Adjustments in the HSL colorspace were fixed for non-color, pure gray images. The edisplay viewer was fixed to correctly display images with alpha channel with the latest Evas versions. The build system was fixed for systems where not all optional codec libraries are available.
Release Notes: Support for lossless and fast JPEG cropping was added. The TIFF codec was improved for interoperability with Apple's TIFF framework to utilitze G4 compression if requested and to zero initialize the x/y resolution if not specified by the file. A tiny memory leak was fixed in the JPEG codec. Edentify was fixed to compute the correct physical image size. The crop_and_rotate function was improved to allow negative start offsets.
Release Notes: Image segmentation and fuzzy image contour pattern matching were added. Support for rendering arbitrary vector pathes and text was added through Anti-Grain-Geometry integration. The X- and Y-axis flip optimizations were implemented for 16-bit channels, as well as functions to change contrast, brightness, gamma, hue, saturation, and lightness, and invert images. The convolution matrix was exported to the CLI econvert.

Release Notes: Functionality to crop and auto-crop image data was added. The convolution matrix was sped up slightly. Automatic template-based endianess conversion code was added, and the code reviewed to use this new less error-prone facility. The whole codebase builds on FreeBSD and Mac OS X as well as Linux.

The BMP code was fixed to correctly read 16- and 32-bit files with bitfields. The edisplay OSD was fixed for the latest Evas release with pre-multiplied alpha colors.
Release Notes: The bicubic scaler was fixed for the recently changed image object copy semantic change. The PNM loader was fixed to correctly byteswap all 16-bit samples on little endian CPUs. edisplay was enhanced to compile witout Evas/GL support if not available.
