Re: Pretty complete issue tracking program
We use Eventum internally and it is a great CRM software. We have even started offering this to our online store customers of EasyStoreHosting.com at our new CRM site in SaaS for at EasyHelpDeskHosting.com We recommend everyone to use Eventum. It is simple to use, quick and allows to open tickets by email.

Well, it was done that way for a reason - so the project itself doesn't deviate from the focus of writing a good issue/bug tracking system. If we add a customer management interface to it, what would stop us from expanding even more into sales force management and etc?

So the architecture of Eventum allows for customer integration when needed, but you need to do a bit of work to glue Eventum to whatever CRM tool you might be using. And yes, I think eventually someone will write a module to quickly integrate with SugarCRM.

I'm not quite sure what you mean above. What "entry screen" are you referring to? If you mean the filter form that is shown above the issue listing screen results, that _can_ be hidden if you want it to.

Pretty complete issue tracking program
Eventum is a pretty complete issue tracking program. That said,

it does require some additional work if you want to have

customers available in Eventum. There is an API that allows you

to integrate with your existing customer database if you have one.

Alternatively, I would be nice to see a solution that uses

something like SugarCRM if one doesn't have have a customer

solution.

The user interface could also use some improvement. Putting the

entry screen above the list of records is cumbersome, and at a

minimum should have a DIV to hide/show it.

However, it is probably one of the more professional open source

bug/issue/ticket tracking systems available.
