Release Notes: This is the first official stable release. Since the last release candidate, there has been only code cleanup and minor bugfixes. A race condition has been fixed in the Win32/WinCE audio driver in the evodio package, which caused a possible freeze when playing some WAV files. The GPS API for Windows Mobile has been extended to return satellite positions and turn GPS devices on/off. Using a container for Tk toplevel has been improved on Windows Mobile. The Linux version has been rebuilt with different optimization options.


Release Notes: This release fixes an annoying bug introduced in 1.0-rc30 causing the Odyce symbol resolver to fail on Win32. Extensions kits (tcllib, tklib, and bwidgets) have been restored in the installer. On Mac OS X, a bad issue causing the console to be shown even if running a wrapped application in non-interactive mode has been fixed. The Tcl code compacter in the wrap applet has been enabled and improved, together with several minor bugfixes and extensions updates (e.g. SQLite 3.6.6.2).

Object-oriented programming is now supported with the addition of the TclOO 0.6 extension. The Windows Mobile-specific extension (wce) adds support for GPS Intermediate Driver and power management. A new ::etcl::snapshot command has been added to capture window contents into an image. Various minor bugs were fixed.

Binaries for the Linux x86-64 architecture are provided and officially supported. The Wce package has new commands to query battery status and set screen orientation.
