Esar

Esar is a replacement for the sar utility on Solaris. In addition to all the standard reporting features of sar, esar can also report network usage (UDP, TCP, NFS, and RPC traffic) and the processor load average.

    Release Notes: This version adds support for vopstat (vnode operation), enabling filesystem statistics. Some headers have been also been rewritten. Source is now included in the package.

      Release Notes: This version corrects a problem when Esadc tried to reuse an old file. The new file that was created was marked as corrupted since the header wasn't written in it.

        Release Notes: A bug that was triggered when DR occurred was fixed.

          Release Notes: Esar can now run on Solaris 8 box and report network statistics as well as disk and other things. The new version can output statistics like vmstat -p.

            Release Notes: This version is the first final release. The data format is not compatible with older versions, so you should remove your old Esar data. This version includes network information for TCP/UDP/RawIP.
