ECLiPt Mirroring Tool
The ECLiPt Mirroring Tool is a full featured FTP mirror script written in Python. It supports nice config files, many features for controlling the mirror (include, exclude of files, special watermarks for deleting files, download just the latest version of some program), as well as producing nice HTML output.

Release Notes: Some bugs in the emirror script have been fixed. Emails about updates include download statistics now. There is support for multiline entries in the configuration files. The version history and default template have been updated. There are some minor bugfixes in the logfile generation, more error handling is included, and a bug when downloading large files (>2GB) has been fixed.

the error handling is completely configurable. Check the error.py file in the lib/ directory to suit it to your needs.

this is the best mirroriing tool i have ever seen. the reports generated, the features its simply great. the only thing it lacks is file comparison. what i hav observed is everytime u mirror the same pkg it starts downloading the files again rather than downloading only the ones which are not present locally or newer.
