Release Notes: This version corrects several bugs over beta 3, and rewrites the ICS interface (used for playing on chess servers). chess.el is once again under active development. Mario Lang is the new maintainer.

Release Notes: This beta version of chess.el is fully functional as a chess client for playing against computer engines (such as GNU Chess or crafty). It is mostly playable against opponents on the network, either over ICS, IRC, or direct Emacs-to-Emacs.
