ECMerge compares and merges files and folders, side-by-side or 3-way. It provides syntax coloring for C/C++, Java, HTML, ASP, PHP, and many other programming languages. It can save your work at an intermediate state and restart it later. It can generate Unix patches and XML/HTML reports between files. A shell extension is provided under Windows. PDF, Word, and ZIP documents can be compared using converters.

Release Notes: New major features include report generation into patch/XML/HTML format, multi-threading, customizable converters, and file filters by date in folder comparisons. Various bugs were fixed. Folder comparison view and merge was improved.


Release Notes: XML pretty-printing (one-line XML files reformatted on screen, and compacted before saving), in-line differences (displayed in colours), security distance (to consider as conflicting differences distant from a given number of lines), the ability to ignore changed lines (matching a regular expression), fixes for various bugs, and improved character encoding handling (default loading encoding, specific encoding to use to save files, etc.).
