Easysoft ODBC-SQL Server Driver
The Easysoft ODBC-SQL Server Driver provides ODBC access to SQL Server for ODBC-enabled applications running on Linux and major Unix platforms. It supports SQL Server 7, SQL Server 2000, and SQL Server 2005, and is fully compatible with the unixODBC Driver Manager, which is included in the standard product distribution.

Release Notes: SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008 Express are supported. For example, the driver supports the new SQL Server 2008 data types: spatial (GEOGRAPHY and GEOMETRY), date/time (DATE, TIME, DATETIMEOFFSET, and DATETIME2), FILESTREAM, and HIERARCHYID. To preserve data integrity, the driver can now use iconv to convert character data from the SQL Server encoding to the encodings that are commonly used by Linux/Unix client machines (UTF-8, EUC-CN, EUC-JP, EUC-KR, EUC-TW, and so on).
