All releases of Eagle Mode

Release Notes: A new plugin for viewing PDF documents was added. It is based on the poppler-glib library.

Release Notes: The emNetwalk plugin has an option for marking pieces automatically when they are rotated. The audio and video player now saves the play position. On most 32-bit systems, support for large files has been added. On Windows, a crash has been fixed as well as the failing of file manager commands by extended file name characters. On OpenSolaris, a failure of the select function has been worked around. Minor fixes were applied.

Release Notes: The text file viewer got support for showing UTF-16 files. The core graphics functions do not reduce the color space any longer. The colors of control panels and dialogs were revised. The file manager got a theme interface and some themes for directory entry panels, and it also got an autosave function for the view settings. The window now shows a wait cursor when the main thread is blocked. Minor fixes and improvements were applied.

Release Notes: The emNetwalk plugin game got a better graphics design, and it was extended by a Dig Mode option. If that is enabled, pieces are dug in and cannot be rotated until they are reached by a server connection.

Release Notes: Eagle Mode has a new plugin application, emNetwalk, which is a clone of the addictive Netwalk puzzle game where pieces of a computer network have to be rotated in order to connect terminals to a server. In contrast to other implementations, emNetwalk has a very sophisticated random network generator which allows a more free and exact game configuration.

Release Notes: Eagle Mode has a brand new SVG image file viewer based on the RSVG and cairo libraries. Unfortunately, one of these libraries does not allow much scaling, but it is enough to see the images full-sized and a little bit more. The viewing and managing of archive files has been extended by the lzma, xz, tar.lzma, and tar.xz file types.

Release Notes: This version completes the Eagle Mode documentation with a guide for advanced configuration, a tutorial and a reference for the C++ API, and a description of the make system. As before, all documents can also be read online on the homepage. Besides minor improvements, an accidental temp file leak has been fixed in the Windows port.

Release Notes: This version has file manager commands for Windows, as well as cosmos and plugin configurations for that system. Another important step is that the make system was extended by a pack command for creating installation packages. Therefore, such packages are available for download now (deb, rpm, setup.exe, etc.). Eagle Mode has some minor improvements. The video player now hides the mouse pointer and disables the screensaver.

Release Notes: Minor fixes and support for the freedesktop.org startup notification protocol.

Release Notes: This version provides a complete, nice, and usable configurator for the Linux kernel with a zoomable user interface. It shows Tux with a kernel picture on its belly, and that kernel picture contains a layout of the configuration options. It is called emLKC (Eagle Mode Linux Kernel Configurator) and is a kernel patch that can be found in the Eagle Mode virtual cosmos.
