dvdauthor is a simple set of tools to help with authoring a DVD. It will eventually be able to create menus, buttons, and chapters, etc, but for now it takes an MPEG stream and writes it to DVD.

    Release Notes: Link-subset jumps were implemented. Audio and subpicture content attributes were implemented. Fill and outline colors and outline thickness as well as shadow offset and color can now be specified for text subtitles. Locale handling was improved, including defaulting to the user's locale, and supporting UTF-16. Support for the Video Format Preference Specification was added. Error checking on file operations was made more consistent. Building with GraphicsMagick instead of ImageMagick is now possible. Many other improvements and bug fixes were made.

      Release Notes: The mode settings for popen() have been fixed. Filenames in XML files are now escaped by spuunmux. Padding bytes in pack headers are now properly skipped in spuunmux. A bug related to setting the resolution field of VTS/VMGM has been fixed.

        Release Notes: Support of VOBUs without audio or video has been added. Reading from file descriptors for VOBs, palette, and XML has been implemented. Support for really long subtitles and for full sized PTS/SCR has been added. Audio type detection logic has been improved. Runtime memory requirement has been substantially reduced. YUV handling in spuunmux and subgen has been fixed. SVCD subtitling has been fixed. NTSC 3:2 pulldown handling has been fixed. Handling of audio packets that have no PTS has been fixed. Many more minor bugs have been fixed and features have been added. Documentation has been improved.
