dvd2divx3pass
dvd2divx3pass is yet another DVD 2 DiVX Rip program for Linux. It's basically a GTK-Perl front-end for mencoder. It aims to be a simple, yet flexible encoder with support for 3-pass divx encoding.

Release Notes: Saving and loading of projects was added. Saving and loading of settings (stored in user's home dir) was added. Ripping subtitles to a separate file (in vobsub format) was added. Command line options for automatic scanning and selecting of a title were added. A filter options input box was added.

Release Notes: The code was completely rewritten with more comments. The user can now choose between mplayer and tcprobe for DVD scanning (tcprobe gives more reliable title lengths). AC3 and PCM audio encoding were added. Extra video encoding options can be specified. Settings were added to specify the full path of mplayer, mencoder, and tcprobe.
