dpmaster

Dpmaster is a lightweight master server initially written for the DarkPlaces game engine. Its Quake III Arena-like protocol allows it to fully support new games without having to restart or reconfigure it. In addition to its own protocol, dpmaster also supports the master protocols of "Quake III Arena", "Return to Castle Wolfenstein", and "Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory".

    Release Notes: This release adds a flood protection mechanism against abusive clients. Game properties have been added, mainly to allow the support for two new games: "Return to Castle Wolfenstein" and "Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory". Finally, shutdown heartbeats and unknown heartbeats are now ignored, and a few minor bugs have been fixed.

      Release Notes: A game type value can now be any word, not just a number.

        Release Notes: Server list queries can now contain a game type filter. The master protocol has been extended to support IPv6. A log system was added. An optional game policy has been implemented for administrators who want to restrict which games are allowed on their master. The documentation has been updated. Many minor improvements and fixes were made.
