Enter this little baby on the command line to rid a file of those "^M"s.

          perl -pi.bak -e 's/\r$//' textfilename

It will rename the original (the ^M file) with a .bak extension.

ooops. okay, you are completly right at this windows-point. just this day i installed linux on my home-machine - so from this day on i'll use it for my programming-work.

as soon as i've time enough, i'll fix this M-problem (and i'll make a tgz - although i never thought that its a problem to use 'unzip').

          thanks for your comment

          with kind regards

          Very Windows-centric
Not a bad bit of PHP overall. However, this product is very Windows centric. The distribution comes as a .zip only and many of the files are full of ^M. Some of the mysql init scripts need to be tweaked as well to work properly under Linux.
