Release Notes: The 'this' variable is now passed to domTT_activate() so that mouse can cross siblings without the tooltip disappearing. The code was cleaned up and normalized, and the onmouseout triggers were made to be more robust. A 'width' setting was added, and 'status' now clears after each mouseout event on the trigger object. Stability and reliability has been significantly improved.
Release Notes: Some fade bugs have been fixed. The 'close' option has been changed to 'closeLink' for clarity. domTT_maxWidth of 0 will be ignored. The ability to make relative (inline) positioned tooltips in response to an activate event has been added.
Release Notes: Many bugs in 0.3.0 have been fixed. An issue with the 'caption' setting has been fixed. If it is left off, it will be excluded except for sticky tips, which requires that it be set to false to leave it off.
Release Notes: Tips can now have a lifetime set, after which they will disappear. Tips can now fade out as well as in. A new 'velcro' tip was added, which disappears when the mouse leaves the tip, rather than the target. A 'grid' option was also added for snapping position updates to a grid rather than continuously updating them. It is also possible to predefine the position of tips with a set of coordinates, which is good for embedded windows. The code was cleaned up and the demos were updated.
Release Notes: A demo has been created to show off the features of the library. A bug with tooltip width in Mozilla has been fixed. More global settings (domTT_fade, domTT_prefix) have been added. Gecko was not detected for select-multiple of size=1; this has been fixed. You can now specify only the "status" option, which will write the statusbar but not create a tooltip.
Release Notes: This release adds fading tooltips.
Release Notes: This version includes full support for Opera 7. A bug that allowed dragging of sticky tip when mouse is over the close element was fixed. A defaultStatus setting to use when clearing status bar was added, along with 'mousedown' as a trigger to set activate delay to 0.
Release Notes: In this version, it is now possible to specify the style class prefix, so that multiple tips can have different looks. A function to add predefined tips with options to be used from the event handler on the element was added, along with an option for custom close text or widget (the close button on sticky tips). The activate function now returns the id of the tip to reference externally. There were also many bugfixes and code cleanups.
Release Notes: This release adds directionality to tips (northwest, northeast, southwest, or southeast), and completes screen edge detection and correction for tips bleeding off the edge. Users can globally turn off dragging of tips, and there were more code cleanups.
