Release Notes: A fault has been fixed in the hist_max setting which would result in the news being trimmed in some situations, instead of just the history. A serious performance fault with the xover_xhash true setting has been fixed. Anyone using that setting should upgrade to this version.

Release Notes: A history leak that probably exists in all 5.5c* and later builds was fixed. If you are running a 5.5 version of dnews, upgrading is recommend. If your history file is larger than expected, you can shrink it with the command, "tellnews repair_history". However, this command will stop incoming posts while it repairs the history, and it may take several hours. If your history size is not prohibitively large, then you can just wait and it will eventually repair itself.
Release Notes: Bug in history processing (introduced in 5.5d2) which caused the history.dat to grow has been fixed.
