Release Notes: The djview4 package contains a new viewer and browser plugin for displaying DjVu files. This new viewer uses the Qt4 graphical user interface toolkit and the public API of the DjVuLibre library. It can simultaneously display multiple pages with a continuous or side-by-side layout. It implements all the DjVu annotations and outlines. It can search text in DjVu documents. It is generally superior to the djview3 viewer bundled with DjVuLibre.

Release Notes: This package contains a ghostscript driver that works with the DjVuLibre 3.5 command djvudigital to produce high-quality DjVu files from PostScript or PDF files.

Release Notes: The DJVuLibre library in version 3.5.18 contains a fully-functional public API for decoding DjVu files. This API is used by the projects evince and okular. DjVuLibre now comes with project files for compiling it natively under Windows. Many bugs have been fixed.

Release Notes: A new cjb2 program provides better lossy compression: compressed files are now 15% to 50% smaller. A new ddjvuapu API provides an easier interface for decoding djvu files. The ddjvu tool now uses this API and can produce TIFF files. The compilation process now uses libtool for better portability.

Release Notes: The DjVu viewer, "djview", has gained a full screen option and navigation history buttons. The encoder "cjb2" can read TIFF files as well as PBM files. The DjVu XML tools are now installed by default. French and Japanese translations have been added. DjVuLibre now works under OS X, but still requires the X11 server.
