Release Notes: Fixes for all the DCC SEND proxying problems people have been having with a rework of the main polling loop and the way that send proxying works, a couple of minor bugs, a potential crashing problem, and the faulty 'from' config directive, a new 'initial_modes' config directive, and new '/DIRCPROXY JUMP' syntax.
Release Notes: Authentication code changed so that dircproxy accepts any number of PASS, NICK, and USER commands until it gets all three, at which point you are then authenticated. This is a lot more like the way IRC servers do it. Also fixed are the various problems with the nickname held by your client, dircproxy, and the server being different.
Release Notes: The DCC problems that could fill your syslog up were fixed. A few portability issues were also fixed, especially that which prevented compilation on FreeBSD. Slight documentation improvements were made.
Release Notes: Fixes were made for a few portability issues, for the completely broken inetd code, and for crashing on various types of failures.
Release Notes: This release features an almost 50% rewrite. dircproxy is now completely non-blocking (DNS and sending), and it does DCC proxying, DCC send capturing, and DCC over ssh tunnels. Loads of new options were added including revamped log code, automatic channel joining, attach/detach messages, server data throttling, and new /DIRCPROXY commands.
Release Notes: A "%s" security vulnerability in the NOTICE code has been fixed, and a bug that caused a core dump if a PRIVMSG or NOTICE was received from the server without a source has been fixed.
Release Notes: A minor bug that prevented user modes from being restored upon reconnection to a lost server was fixed.
Release Notes: A rewrite of the stoned server checking to fix all the problems people have been having with it (it now pro-actively pings the servers rather than just waiting for them to ping it), a fix for a long-standing bug that meant QUIT messages never appeared on IRC and also that warnings appeared in syslog, a fix for the memory leak that affected those using --enable-debug, and a new config file option to disable automatic detaching.
Release Notes: The bug that prevented you from connecting to the proxy when using the "from" configuration option to limit source hosts was fixed. This fix also ensures that user configuration files aren't world readable as they could contain passwords.
Release Notes: A major security bug (of the format string kind) was fixed. Other fixed bugs include core dumping on dropping of modes and logging not working unless "log_maxsize" was used.
