      Release Notes: This is the first release of the 2.x.x branch of dhcpcd. Maintenance is now being undertaken jointly by the maintainers of the Debian and Gentoo dhcpcd packages. This release folds in all the changes which have accumulated in the distribution packages since the last dhcpcd release, including a fix for a DoS security problem, ref CAN-2005-1848.

          Release Notes: nisDomainName is no longer used in /etc/resolv.conf. The "time since bootup" parameter in DHCP messages has been increased to 10 to accomodate WinNT DHCP servers. A patch to use the dhcp-spoof feature of ADSL modems/routers has been applied.

            Release Notes: Support for NIS and NTP records was added, TokenRing support was improved, and script support was made easier to use.

              Release Notes: Fixes for compilation with 2.0.x kernels, and addition of 0x0 to the end of ClientID and ClassID options in the DHCP message.
