Release Notes: The biggest user-visible changes in this release are a new random number generator, a massive reorganization of the 802.11 (wireless) framework, and extensive bugfixes in the kernel. Significant progress has been made in pushing the big giant lock inward, and extensive modifications have been made to the kernel infrastructure with an eye towards DragonFly's main clustering and userland VFS goals. This release is considered to be more stable then 1.4.

Release Notes: Multi-processor performance was increased. Many bug fixes and feature enhancements were made, including the Wifi stack from FreeBSD, PF from OpenBSD 4.2, and DataMapper from NetBSD. This release also marks the return of the GUI image.
